🧞‍♂️ OH YES IT IS! ALADDIN IS A MUST-SEE! 🎭HELLO BOYS AND GIRLS!I was lucky enough to take my daughter to see the spectacular ALADDIN at the magnificent Camberley Theatre last night, and we had the most magical time!If you are looking for festive family magic this month, then you absolutely must get your tickets—OH YES YOU MUST!Our hero Aladdin, the hilarious Widow Twankey, and even the dastardly Abanazar were all brilliant! Huge compliments to the entire cast and crew for putting on a show packed with energy, dazzling costumes, and more laughs than you can shake a magic lamp at!THE 3D MAGIC!The real showstopper for us was the incredible jaw-dropping 3D sequence in the second half! It genuinely felt like the action was flying straight into the auditorium! We were dodging and diving in our seats! Make sure you go prepared for some serious special effects! The show is running right up until New Year’s Eve, so there’s plenty of time to catch it!www.camberleytheatre.co.uk/events/aladdin#CamberleyPanto #Aladdin #CamberleyTheatre #OhYesItIs #PantomimeSurrey Heath. After a busy week, it’s finally time to chill. It is fair to say it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. This week included:• Hosting a very tricky quiz for Redz Academy (a whole quiz about quizzes—OH NO IT WASN’T EASY!).• Standing in for the main man, Santa Claus, at TheOldDeanRec for story time with some wonderful kids!• Attending the beautiful Carols on the Parade this afternoon.🧞‍♂️ TIME FOR PANTO! OH YES IT IS! 🎭And finally, we made it to Panto Land! Another great show this year! We saw the incredible Aladdin, who swooped into Camberley on that magical flying carpet!Old Dean Community Group. I am glad I was able to support the request from Old Dean Bowling Club and funding of a new irrigation system. The funding for these projects comes from the ringfenced CIL contributions received from developers for development taking place in the borough, not from day-to-day council budgets. Up to ÂŁ30,000 contribution towards the replacement of irrigation, pump and tank for the green at Old Dean Bowling Club, Camberley. The project supports the community by maintaining an accessible, high-quality outdoor leisure space that promotes health, wellbeing, and social inclusion, particularly benefiting older adults and those seeking gentle physical activity. Santa’s Bus Returns! – Tuesday 16 DecemberAfter the great success of the Santa Bus Aldershot last year, I’m delighted to announce that it’s coming back.Just like Santa and his elves, I’ve been working behind the scenes with Stagecoach to finalise the details and I’m pleased to share more information.Santa’s Bus will be parked at The Old Dean Bowling Club car park on Tuesday 16 December, from 18:00 to 18:45.Time is a little tighter this year as Santa needs to dash off to spread some Christmas cheer in other parts of Surrey Heath – apparently even his sleigh runs on a strict timetable. It’s certainly beginning to look a lot like Christmas. You can find more details on the Santa Bus Facebook page: Santa Bus Aldershot #santasbus #stagecoach #Christmas #itsbeginningtolookalotlikechristmas See MoreSee Less

For the second evening this week I visited Collingwood College, Camberley, Surrey for an event celebrating achievement and talent. On Tuesday I attended the school’s Annual Celebrations Evening. It’s always inspiring to hear what pupils have achieved and the citations really highlight just how much these young people can accomplish. It was also wonderful, as Vice Chair of Governors, to present the Syd Hempson Award for Creativity and the Barker Award for Resilience. There were also awards for 100% attendance, outstanding sporting achievements, and excellence in numeracy and literacy.Last night I returned for the Autumn Showcase, where even more talent was on display. There were solo and duet singers, solo instrumentalists, a band and the school choir. I’ve been lucky enough to attend several of the Open Mic Night events and it was brilliant to see even more first timers take to the stage in Kingston Theatre.A number of the performers from last night have also been cast in next year’s school production of Into the Woods which promises to be another fantastic show. Tickets are available via Ticket Source.www.ticketsource.co.uk/collingwood-collegeThank you to all the students for their dedication, to the parents and carers for supporting them, and to the teachers for everything they do.I’m already looking forward to the next event at Collingwood.
